Both men and women share the symptoms of alcohol and drug addiction, but their pathways to abuse and addiction can be quite different. How they develop the disease and respond to treatment is influenced by many psychosocial and cultural issues that are unique to women. The Rose of Newport Beach has developed a comprehensive residential treatment program that treats addiction while addressing the other issues such as chemical dependency, trauma, grief, co-dependency and co-occurring disorders for women. All are potentially devastating if not identified and treated. All are especially destructive, affecting every aspect of a woman's life including her family.

Treatment at The Rose of Newport Beach is tailored from a woman's perspective, and every woman is cared for as a distinct individual with unique needs and life circumstances.

In pursuit of treatment excellence, we offer a multidisciplinary panel of professionals who provide a team approach in creating a truly exceptional therapeutic environment. There are staff members on site 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help nurture and build a trusting relationship with each client. The relationships The Rose of Newport Beach forms with its clients are founded on dignity and respect with an understanding and appreciation of the role that substance abuse has played in their lives.

Our goal is to assist our clients in reclaiming their lives through the integration of traditional psychological and 12-Step Principles together with experiential and alternative therapies. Utilizing many different kinds of therapeutic approaches, clients can begin to learn ways to reconnect with their body, mind and spirit. Yoga, Pilates and body sculpting are offered at a private studio minutes away from the retreat. Clients also attend outside 12 Step meetings, which are gender specific. On Sunday, clients have brunch at a restaurant of their choice. They may also use the beach for Tai Chi and beach walks.

Family Program

At The Rose of Newport Beach, we firmly believe that treatment should embrace not only the addicted individual but the family as well. The Rose of Newport Beach offers a three day family program specifically designed to assist families in crisis as a result of substance abuse. While the substance abuser goes through our treatment program, family members are educated about the disease process of chemical dependency and how they have been affected. They are given the life tools necessary to reconcile current issues facing their family. The entire family also receives counseling from our highly trained family therapists and can receive further advisement beyond treatment.

Let the healing begin. For more information on our treatment programs or to schedule an admission, please call (888) 471-0435 or fill out our online confidential assessment form.
