Meet the women who make up The Rose treatment team and support staff.

Program Director

Sandy Taylor, B.S. CADC II, CCGC, EDS

Sandy Taylor"I am dedicated to helping women to stop being 'prisoners' of their past and become 'pioneers' of their future."  - Sandy Taylor

Sandy Taylor has over 18 years experience in chemical dependency treatment programs, working primarily with women in recovery.  With over 27 years of personal recovery, she is extremely qualified to teach by example the benefits of living a full life in sobriety.  Sandy has helped hundreds of women find a new way of living and taught them how to work through all the issues that surround early recovery.  Her nurturing and caring demeanor offers women in recovery the opportunity for personal growth.

Tanya Desloover, MFT, CADCII

Tanya joined our staff in 2004 and was the program director of the Reflections Program for Mature Adults prior to becoming program manager at the Rose.

Prior to joining us, Tanya had a 20 year career in pediatric research at Children's Hospital in Seattle.


Trauma Counselor

Mary O'Malley, M.A., CAS, RT

Mary is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine and Pepperdine University.  She is a licensed Drug and Alcohol counselor and has been working in the field of chemical dependency for over 25 years.  As a counselor and group facilitator, Mary assists our program residents with healing from trauma, shame and self-esteem issues.  Her sense of humor, empathy and nurturing manner allows the women residing in our care to feel safe and comfortable working on core issues.


Consulting Physician

Dr. Warren Taff, MD, MPH

dr. taffDr. Taff works extensively both with chemically dependent and psychiatric patient populations. With specific expertise in medication management, he is on faculty at the University of Southern California for the psychiatric residents.

Warren is board certified and works as Medical Director for chemical dependency, eating disorders and psychiatric treatment programs with a vertically integrated delivery system and provides guidance to the treatment team in the delivery of their continuum of addiction treatment services.

 


CARF Coordinator

Allison Baker, BS, RRW

Allison baker new"I love connecting to the women through their stories and to watch their healing process." - Allison Baker

Allison found her passion working in the field of recovery. She started as an intern working in the Sober Living by the Sea Outpatient Treatment Program while completing a Bachelors degree in Human Services with an emphasis in Mental Health. Allison is currently studying for her masters degree in psychology and plans to practice marriage family therapy.

 

 

Art Therapist

Robin Lamoure, CADAC, MA, ATR

Robin Lamoure"I believe in the process of Art Therapy and its potential to help people grow, rehabilitate, and heal comeing from the actual making of art and helping people understand their art as self expression." -Robin Lamoure

Robin LaMoure graduated UCLA and went on to study painting at Otis Parsons School of Art and Design. Robin then went on to become credentialed as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor with CAADAC and  as a Eating Disorder Counselor. In addition Robin is certified in Batters Intervention program 2006, including experience in domestic emergency situations trained in Domestic Violence Advocacy, and Trauma.  Having a background in a variety of different specialties Robin is able to work with a diversified group of clients.


Art Therapy is the concept that art images can help us understand who we are, to express feelings and ideas that words cannot, and to enhance life through self expression.  It is a modality that uses nonverbal language for personal growth, insight, and transformation and is a means of connecting what is inside us- our thoughts, feelings, and perceptions-with outer realities and life experiences.

Ashley Cleaves

"Coming from a family of 4 sisters dinner was always a production. Helping my mom in the kitchen when I was young is how my love for food was first sparked. After graduating high school, I decided to move to San Francisco and attend the California Culinary Academy. Graduating from the CCA with a degree in Culinary Arts, I then did my internship at a French restaurant in Newport Beach. Working for at The Rose since 2005, I enjoy helping the women who come through our program from the inside out."


 

Nurse

Becky Gordon, RN

Becky is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelors degree in Nursing. She has clinical experience in a variety of nursing specialties including medical/surgical, psychiatric/mental health, neonatal/pediatric, and community health nursing. Becky's goal in working with people in recovery is to make them feel physically comfortable so that they can concentrate on the mental and emotional aspects of getting well. She enjoys being a part of the client’s pathway to health and strives to be a resource to any person who is need of care.

Cassandra Williams, CATC, CCJP, CDC

Cassandra Williams is an expert on addiction recovery and has been counseling women in recovery for many years in the Sober Living by the Sea network of treatment centers.


Therapist

Jerry Brown, PsyD, MFT

Dr Jerry Brown 2010 "In sobriety, life gets better and better...don't quit before the miracle comes." - Jerry Brown
Jerry Brown has worked over 45 years in the counseling field, and over 34 years in the field of recovery.
Dr. Brown is a national speaker in the addiction field and specializes in dual diagnosis, family therapy and psychological testing.   He authored Militant Parenting, A Survival Guide For Parents with Problem Kids.
Dr. Brown is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and has a doctorate in Clinical Psychology.  He has worked in our treatment network  for over 17 years and is currently a clinical consultant for all of our programs. Dr. Brown also sees families and patients in his private practice.

 


Admissions and Business Development
Paige Willard, BA

paige willardPaige Germany Willard is the Clinical Outreach Representative for Orange County as well as the Family Program Coordinator. Paige has been active in the recovery community for over 7 years, during which time she also had a successful career in marketing and advertising for ABC network in Dallas, Texas. She graduated magna cum laude from Millsaps College.

 


Case Manager, The Rose Phase II

Gina L. Rios, BA/MA Ed./CADCA

Gina Rios"I want to cultivate the true beauty of self-awareness and healing through recovery.” – Gina  Rios

Currently Gina is a graduate student in the MFT program at Pepperdine University.  After teaching in public and private schools for 10 years, she is following her passion for counseling.  She also brings 10 yeas of sobriety and enthusiasm for recovery to The Rose.  She believes that living sober is the primary ingredient for living in the present.

Char Poplinski, LAADC, CADC II, CC BADC

 Char has been counseling for 25 years  - integrating her spirituality and traveling nationwide. The last four years working at the Rose with women in recovery is her passion, and the greatest reward is helping women begin a new life.

Mary Lisa Patton, BA, CADAAC

The Rose found Mary Lisa in 2007 as she was finishing her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Vanguard University of Southern California.  Mary Lisa just finished courses at Saddleback College for her CADAAC with a studied emphasis in eating disorders.  Mary enjoys building relationships with the woman and encouraging spiritual growth as a necessary part of recovery.


Intake Coordinator

Jeff Reyes, B.S. (Behavioral Science)

It is very likely that Jeff will be the friendly voice at the other end of the line when you call our admissions team to ask questions about the treatment process. Jeff is patient and caring with the families he interacts with.

Jeff is a graduate from Loma Linda University and has worked in the Behavioral Health field for over 10 years.  Jeff has experience working with adolescents and adults at every level of care from outpatient treatment through hospitalization.
